Less than one week after leaving, Occupy Pittsburgh protesters teamed up Saturday with another organization to demand healthcare for “the 99 percent.”

The Western Pennsylvania Coalition for Single-Payer Healthcare met the protesters in front of the Steel Tower Saturday and held a rally against the actions of Pittsburgh’s two biggest health insurance companies, UPMC and Highmark.

“I personally am uncomfortable living in a world where people can die because they don’t have $800 per month to buy health insurance,” said protester Kristyn Felman. “We’re out here to stand up for that injustice.”

After the rally, the group marched to the Highmark building.
